The class of the week is Spanish. Spanish classes 3,4,5 attended a field trip on Tuesday. The Spanish classes went to Film Streams to watch “El Espíritu de la Colmena”.

The movie was made by a Spanish director and is considered one of the best movies in Spanish cinema. The movie is very artistic and philosophical. It’s one of those types of movies in which you have to think and try and understand the bigger picture. Mercy girls, while on the trip, enjoyed a lunch provided by Film Streams and a discussion session at the end of the movie.

There were struggles getting back to Mercy due to a tardy bus. However, that didn’t ruin the overall experience but instead made it more interesting. It was definitely a great last field trip for the 2022-2023 school year.
