Everyone knows the musical stage production, Mary Poppins, but nobody has seen it with this extremely talented group of Mercy girls ever before!
Friday, April 8 marks opening night of Mercy High School’s production of Mary Poppins. These students have put in countless hours of outstanding work into making this musical one of the best that Mercy has put on yet! Whether you are admiring the background composition, the character enthusiasm, or the powerful voices of the cast, this show will fall nothing short of astonishing.
The Monarch performers and technical crew have been spending hours of their evenings perfecting every single minute of this production to ensure a smooth and successful show. Each performer has worked tediously to memorize all lines, songs, and voice inflections that will really impress this year’s audience. Additionally, the Monarch ”techies” have brought their creativity and artistic talent to the table to help create scenes and props, as well as brains to aid all scene changes with light and prop movement.
Not only have just these girls put in amazing work, but director and teacher, Mr. vonKampen, is the one to recognize for all organization and planning of this production. The number of long hours that vonKampen has spent in his classroom, sound booth, and Franey Hall are extremely admirable. It is completely evident that Mr. vonKampen is dedicated to the success of his productions for all of his hardworking students and members of Mercy High School’s theater community.
Come support Mercy High School’s Mary Poppins on April 8, 9, and 10 in Franey Hall!
