Tennis season has begun at Mercy! Tennis players started tryouts on March 1st in the gym. When the weather allowed, they moved down to their home courts at Churchich Park. With COVID-19 taking away their season last year, the girls are very happy to be on the courts again. Junior Clare Jandrain ‘22 says how excited for the season she is, “I can’t wait to grow in both relationships and skill this tennis season!”
Leading the Monarchs this season is new Head Coach Susan Sloboth. Coach Sloboth us a member of the Nebraska Tennis Hall of Fame and a receiver of the Outstanding Contributor to Youth Tennis USTA in 2010. Girls have loved her as a new coach and they continue grow in skills daily.
The Monarchs will have their first Varsity March 18th at their home courts. The 10 varsity girls will (hopefully) take home the win!
