My name is Emily Erlbacher and two days ago I started my last year here at Mercy High School. It is crazy to think that I am now a senior and will be deciding on where to go to college in a couple of short months. As of right now, I don’t have any set plans for college or about what I want to study when I get there, although I have been looking into a few colleges around the Midwest.

While I know that I will get to experience new things and further my education when I leave, I am still hesitant about graduating. I love Mercy, the friends I have made, and the fun atmosphere. I am involved in Student Council, volleyball, Optimism Club and NHS here at Mercy and I am now excited to say that I am a part of the newspaper staff this semester! These activities allow me to have even more fun and spend time with the people I love the most.

My daily routine involves school and practice but when I get home I get to spend some quality time with my two dogs: a Great Dane named Bailey and a Miniture Golden Doodle named Chloe. They are always so excited and never fail to put me in a good mood.  I have added them to my introduction piece because it is usually hard to forget about a 145 pound dog, especially when she is trying to sit on my lap as I write this. I know I will miss them a lot next year when I move into my dorm.
