As the end of the 2022-2023 school year approaches, the students of Mercy High School are getting excited for summer. Some classes are counting down the days left until finals week, and others are working hard to finish what still needs to be done before we log off for the summer. Mercy still has a lot coming up before break including prom, ACTs, and May Crowning.
We asked some of the students at Mercy how they are feeling about the end of the year approaching and these were some of the responses. Zsa Zsa Gomez ’26 said “I feel like the year went by super fast and it’s hard to believe that at the beginning of the year I was brand new to Mercy. I met a lot of people and made many friends. It will be nice being a sophomore and influencing the freshmen.” Bee Hampton ’26 said “ I feel excited and melancholic, I am very excited for summer to come and all the fun activities but will miss seeing my friends every day.” AK Verdoni ’26 said “ I am excited to do things I want to do and attend Steubenville.” Leah Kinney ’26 said “I am excited to be able to relax more and hang out with my friends, I also have some summer camps I will be attending during break.” The students of Mercy High School are all very excited for summer vacation.
That being said, there are still a lot of things going on before the school year comes to a close. The spring play is happening later this week and during the weekend, so be sure to get your tickets! We also have prom coming up, and the juniors and seniors are all getting excited and ready to attend that fun night! Mercy also has May Crowning coming up that all the students, especially those on May Crowning Court, are getting excited for. The juniors have been preparing for a long time for their ACTs and this Saturday is the big day.
All of these events and more will be covered by Mercy High Tea Time, so be sure to check it out!
