The 90s gave us some great shows. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Boy Meets World, Dawson’s Creek, and Home Improvement just to name a few. But by far the most popular would be Friends.
Everyone knows something about friends. Whether it be the catchy theme song with the famous line “I’ll be there for you,” Joey’s classic “how you doin,” Phoebe’s famous Smelly Cat song, or the one question that will never be answered: were Ross and Rachel really on a break?
Whatever it may be, everyone has heard or seen something about Friends. It is an iconic show about six best friends as they face the ups and downs of young adult life. It started in 1994 and ended in 2004, spanning 10 unforgettable years.
It was one of the funniest shows you will ever watch and leave you wanting more. It features an ensemble cast, who gave us some of the most iconic characters. Friends is the type of show that you can watch continuously and never get tired of it. It is always funny and it never loses its charm.
Its content and issues are as relatable now as it was in the 90s. Whenever I have had a bad day, I just turn on an episode of Friends and all of my problems wash away. It is considered to be one of the most popular shows of all time and is still watched by millions all over the world.
It is still so popular, that not only are millennials watching reruns, but so are the next generations of people. Friends is still in syndication which allows everyone to watch this beloved show. They constantly play reruns on Nick at Nite and all the seasons are on Netflix, so if you have some free time this week, I recommend sitting down on the couch and binging all ten seasons.
