Summer is vastly approaching, and there are so many different things to do during the summer in Omaha. A couple weeks from now the Farmers Market starts in Aksarben Village, Village Point, and The Old Market and go throughout the summer. The Farmers Market is where venders sell fresh produce and fruit and make profit. During the weekend of June 1st, a popular Omaha tradition is going on: Taste of Omaha. You can walk around Lewis and Clark Landing and taste different foods from around Omaha.
Maybe you don’t want to sit outside all summer long. The Omaha Community Playhouse is putting on Singing in the Rain from June 1-24. The Rose Theater is also premiering Disney’s Newsies from June 1-17. One of the busiest times of the year downtown is the College World Series which starts on June 20.
Maybe you want to be athletic this summer? The Color Run is on July 14. There are also many art festivals to include the Summer Arts Festival on June 8. Outdoor concerts are also very popular during the summer. There are plenty of summer concert series around town at Village Point, Shadow Lake, Stinson Park, and Midtown Crossing.
Summer 2018 should be a very busy one, and here are a few suggestions of things to keep you busy!
