Interview with a Prep Freshman

While I can imagine that attending Creighton Prep would a lot similar to Mercy (maybe less civilized) I really have no idea and am fascinated by what the all male school located here in Omaha, Nebraska is like. I interviewed 15 year old Freshman Joe Abboud (my favorite little brother) for some insight.

How has your first year at prep been so far?
Pretty swell. (he keeps it curt)

What’s your favorite thing about it?
Community period. (time designated for study halls, club meetings, and masses.) Also I like the freedom. It’s a lot different from grade school.

What’s the coolest event you’ve attended since you started there?
Freshman Retreat. It was a life changing event, colors are brighter. No, actually I just feel closer with my class and it’s great.

What’s your favorite class this year?
Choir

What are you most excited about for the next three years?
Making better friends and playing hockey.

Are you happy with your decision to come to prep?
Yes.

While my brother is no wordsmith, I can tell that he’s loving his time at Creighton Prep and I wish him and all other freshmen the best of luck as they finish their first year of high school.
