Mercy Hosts Open House to Share Monarch Pride

We are excited to share the Mercy experience with perspective students. One of the ways we do this is by hosting an annual Open House. This year, we hosted perspective students and their families on Sunday, November 5 between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. According to Ms. Holly McCoy, Assistant Principal for Student Life, Mercy has been hosting Open House for 35 years.

Perspective students and their families got a feel for what it is like to be a Monarch during the Open House experience. School tours, guided by current students, or unguided if the family chose to see the school and meet current students and staff. To show our Mercy spirit, the cheerleaders and dance team performed. There were presentations that gave the parents information about Mercy, including negotiated tuition, student life, our academic programs and much more! Ms. Newville disected a cat to help interest perspective students along with their families. This event is very important for Mercy because it gives us the opportunity to share our school to girls as they make the important decision about which high school they will attend in the future.

A lot of hard work goes into making this day a big success. Thanks to Anne McGill, director of admissions, Mercy has an Open House that runs smoothly. Her energy and organization really set the tone for success. The Student Ambassadors, faculty, and administrations all do their part to make the day great. We are proud of our school and were happy to share it with the students and families who attended.
